11/17/2022 All In A Day's Work...

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

Yesterday I single handledly pulled my Shotgun Shell out of the detached garage. Now you see it was a little bit of a task. The garage is sloped slightly towards a floor drain so pulling it forward to get it where the truck could hook onto it was not an easy thing. On a positive note... In the process I did move and rearrange some items stored there to get things better organized.

I was singing my own praise when I realized I did not know where the key to the hitch lock was placed last. I turned the house upside down but to no avail.

I do realize at the end of the day, locks aren’t a 100% guarantee of safety. While they can act as a deterrent on some level, many criminals and forgetful people like myself will still easily be able to get past a lock.

Point infact, I went back into my other garage and picked up a hammer and screwdriver. To my surprise just a quick hard tap upwards on the lock opened with no more effort. Would you believe it still works. Just don't have the key right now. 😅

Whoa this scared me to think how easy it happened.

Then things got even funnier with another realization that I had no clue where to find the key to the cargo entrance door. The rig has sat in storage for almost 4 years. Then throw in that I had moved from the house in Nixa in 2019 and I still can't find things that were packed. 🤔

It looks like this one I might need to pull to a locksmith to have a key made for it. Unless my criminal side does magic with picking the lock. 🙄

Hopefully today will prove to be more productive. 👍
