Sunday mornings are usually a relaxing thing we look forward to all week. However, this Sunday morning started off with us having to leave the camping resort early to try to miss the rain and get the bikes home dry in the garage before the monsoon storms hit.
We had ridden 30 miles into Nixa town when we realized our stomachs were playing a matching symphony.
We were in a hurry to get home but the stomach ruled. We stopped at Braum's for a breakfast burrito and western omelette bagel sandwich (I can't eat Bagels but Jim has developed a slight taste for them with enough strawberry jelly)
However, we paid the price for stopping. Just as everything was set right with our stomachs and we were within seven miles to the my lake home, the sky turned black, the winds churned up and the rain rang down! ⛈️
My thoughts were thank goodness we were taking the car back to Castle View Campground Resort. You see Jim had to work out a few maintenance issues with the RV and then we also wanted to enjoy some time with Jim's family. However, as luck would have it, within just twelve miles back to the campground, the sky opened up with rain so hard we could not see anything in front of us. ⛈️☔
I'm thinking I should just stay in bed this Monday morning!
Hopefully you had better skies and hope you'll have a Great Monday!
Nana
