8/30/2022 National Grief Day...

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.” – Robert Fulghum

National Grief Awareness Day comes on August 30 of every year. Everyone in the world will experience it when they lose their loved ones someday. The day on August 30 is to recognize the recover from our loss. It doesn’t have any designated course but it is a reminder conclusion occurs in many forms.

In 2014, Angie Cartwright created the National Grief Awareness Day. Familiar with the loss, Cartwright too became lost in grief. She has become dedicated to bringing support to those who have suffered like her and teaching others to the realities of bereavement. To understand how to help people, including yourself, cope with depression, sometimes it is beneficial to try and understand exactly what grief is.

Grief is a response to the loss of someone or something important in your life. Sometimes, bonds of affection or love make it that much harder to cope with the influx of emotions. But still many of us forget the cognitive, cultural, and philosophical difficulties that can come from losing someone close to us. National Grief Awareness Day is a perfect day to begin to learn how to cope and recover from grief.

The best way to celebrate the day is by helping other people who are in grief. Sit listen to them and let them talk and find an outlet for their thoughts and emotions.

If there are too many problems, sometimes looking into a counselor, therapist or expert will be a great idea to help for them to cope and find a way out of their problems of grief.

But remember, no matter what the circumstances are, we as individuals can be there for them and offer our help if they need it.

You can use the hashtag #GriefAwarenessDay to post on social media.

Love to everyone!
